Obituary for Daniel J. O'Hanlon

GENEVA- Daniel J. O’Hanlon, age 65, of Geneva passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 14, 2019 at home.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday (Jan.21) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. Prayers will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Daniel was born on September 3, 1953 in Rochester and was the son of the late Jerome and Inabelle Niland O’Hanlon. Daniel was an avid gardener who possessed the ability to get anything to grow.

He enjoyed football especially Sunday nights with his high school friend, Tom. Dan was a loving uncle, great-uncle and will be sadly missed by all.

He is survived by his sister, Mary (Sullivan) Reale of Geneva; nieces & nephews, Abigail (Patrick) Malcuria of Geneva, Sullivan (Janelle) Reale III of Geneva, Matthew Reale of Washington DC, Morgan Reale of Philadelphia, Jessica O’Hanlon Reidy of Syracuse; great nieces & nephews, Matthew and Whitney Reidy, Peyton Niland Taylor, Murphee, Rowen, Pyper and Stryker Malcuria; several cousins; very good friend, Tom Anderson and his beloved dogs, Auto and Pickles

Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Ina and Jerome O’Hanlon and brother, Matthew O’Hanlon in 1983.

We can no longer see you with our eyes or touch you with our hands, but we will feel you in our hearts forever.
