Edith Pearl Gay
GENEVA/TEXAS- It is with much sadness that our family announces our Mom, Edith Pearl Gay, passed into her Eternal home on May 14, 2023 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Texas at the beautiful age of 102. She was lovingly cared for and enjoyed by family for 10 years in Texas.

Visitation will be held at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High Street, Geneva, on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery

Memorial contributions can be sent to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Edith was generous with her love and kindness and was entirely devoted to her family.
She was born to George and Emma Werthman Houck on February 22, 1921.

She was predeceased by two sisters,
Alyce Ehlinger and Lois Houck, a daughter, Cynthia Anne Gay and granddaughter Pamela Espinoza.

She is survived by 8 children;
Richard (Susan) Gay of Vermont, Ronald (RoseAnn) Gay of Skaneateles NY,
Sheila Klein of Texas, David (Marie)Gay of Phelps NY,
Dean Gay of New Paltz NY, Dianne Hill of Texas,
Mark (Anna) Gay of Texas, Laurie Simon of Maine.

She is also survived by 18 grandchildren:
Jimmy (Alba) Gay, Danny Gay, Adam Gay, Eric Gay, Michael Carfora, Matthew Carfora,
Marc Klein, David Gay, Courtney (Scott) Burden, Christopher (Melissa) Gay, Timothy Gay, Vincent(Carol) Liberatore, Brandon Gay, Allegra (Paulino) Rodriguez, Nicole(AT) Wolf, Aaron(Heba) Simon, Jourdan Simon.
14 great grandchildren and 1 great- great- grandchild.
Death is not the end for Edith but a glorious beginning.
