JUPITER, FL/Fairport/Geneva – Frank A. Palmieri, 84 of Jupiter, FL formally of Fairport and Geneva, NY passed away peacefully Wednesday (December 21, 2022) after a hard-fought battle with cancer in the comfort of his home where he was cared for and surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born on June 2, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Michael and Pauline (LaFaro) Palmieri. He was a graduate of DeSales High School, Freeman Business School, Auburn Community College, and Empire State College. He retired after a successful thirty-four years as General Manager of Accounting and Finance for ExxonMobil where he spent his entire career at multiple locations in the Rochester area. After retiring he split his time in New York and Florida where he enjoyed his one true hobby golf. A past president of Seneca Lake CC; and past member of both Clifton Springs and Penfield Country Clubs where he was blessed with five hole-in-ones.
However, his true love was his wife Verna of sixty-two plus years, his family, and his friends. He was a proud father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family, the joys of his life. He also enjoyed traveling alongside his soulmate Verna throughout their time together and was especially happy to have traveled to Italy the land of his ancestry on multiple occasions.
He is survived by his wife, Verna (Constable) Palmieri; son, Michael of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, daughters Jacqueline (John) Bucklin of Geneva, Roberta (Ned) Flanagan of Fairport, grandchildren Kelsey, Katelyn, and Daniel Flanagan of Fairport; brothers Art (Cynthia) Palmieri of Jupiter, FL, and Mark (Cheryl) Palmieri of Geneva; brother in-law’s Thomas Constable of Geneva, and Martin (Kathleen) Constable of Fairport; several nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
He was predeceased by his angel granddaughter Kennedy Ann Bucklin.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Thursday (December 29) at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Geneva with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family in Glenwood Cemetery. Arrangements handled by McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home of Geneva.
