Obituary for George James Wyatt

GENEVA- George James Wyatt, 78, of Geneva, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 13, 2022 after a 12 year journey with Alzheimer’s. George died with his beloved wife at his side and many loved ones gone before waiting to welcome him in Heaven.

George was born on August 24, 1944 to George W. Wyatt and Claire Oldfield, and went on to lead a remarkable life. George was a general contractor by trade, but his greatest life’s work was his generosity. He loved to talk to anyone and everyone, and he gave abundantly and without hesitation- his time, talents, wisdom and love.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 46 years on earth and eternity beyond, Carolyn Campbell Wyatt, and his sisters Lynda (the late Joseph) John and Suzanne (Richard) McGuigan of Geneva. His legacy lives on in his children, Sarah (Christopher) Bauer and Suzanne Wyatt of Geneva, George (Stephanie) Wyatt of California, and Mary K. MacGregor of North Carolina, and his grandchildren Sophie and Ella Bauer, Amelia-Ives and Hudson Dupuis, and George Henry, Mason and Benjamin Wyatt.

He was predeceased by his parents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 5 at 6:30 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Aunkst Road in Fayette. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service for the family will be held at a later date.
