Jason Paul Farrington
GENEVA/ROCHESTER- It is with the greatest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother Jason Paul Farrington, age 45, of Rochester, NY.
Family and friends may call on Thursday (July 14) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva.
He was born on June 7, 1977 in Rochester, NY. He is survived by his devoted parents, Christine and David; his twin brother Patrick (wife Meghan); his sister Kate (husband Sean); his nephews Jack and Kyle; his nieces Elliott and Ruby, and many loving great uncles, aunts and cousins.
Jason was a 1995 graduate of Geneva High School and attended SUNY Oswego and SUNY Brockport.
Jason was a gentle, polite and kind person that never met a cat, dog or fast car that he didn’t like. He was a history buff and was known for his knowledge of current events whether it be local, state, national or international and ready to discuss his point of view at any time. He loved being on or near the water and swimming. Growing up in the Finger Lakes and enjoying summer trips to Maine were beloved memories. Jason was a lifelong car enthusiast and sports fan. He was a faithful fan of the Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves after many years residing in Atlanta. He followed Sabres hockey and of course, The Bills. Let’s Go Buffalo! His family and friends remember him fondly for his affinity for cracking jokes and belly laughs.
Jason was recently a New Conversion Senior Lead Consultant for Do It Best Corporation. His position had him on the road a lot and he had traveled to 48 of the 50 States some of them multiple times. He saw national parks and monuments that did his American-history loving soul good. He enjoyed this opportunity immensely and to have the ability to see many special places, meet a lot of great people and make new friends.
In honor of Jason, take a moment to do one random act of kindness. A simple smile or hello to a stranger as you go through your day. Remember to take time for a laugh and stop to pet the dog or cat along the way. But don’t take time to smell the roses, he had terrible allergies. If you would like to make a donation in Jason’s name, please consider doing so for an animal shelter where you live.
