Obituary for Loretta M. Fryer (Campbell)

GENEVA- Loretta M. Fryer, age 85 of Geneva, went home to be with her Lord and Savior and her loving husband of 46 years, William on Saturday April 29, 2023 at Clifton Springs Hospital.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 6 at 9:30a.m. at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456.

Loretta was born in Geneva on May 16, 1937, the daughter of the late Ernest and Jane (DeJohn) Campbell. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and godmother. She retired as a Teacher’s Assistant after working more than 13 years with the Geneva School District. She always had special place in her heart for children and special needs children. Loretta was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Sons & Daughters of Italy- Geneva Lodge 2397. She was a diehard NY Yankees fan and had a love for Norte Dame Football. She also became a big Buffalo Bills fan.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Crisanti of Geneva, Vinnie (Christine) Verzella of Victor, Beverly (Sam Krofssik) Fryer of Geneva; grandchildren, John DeRaddo, Jaelyn, Gabriel and Abree Verzella, Bryn Fryer; great-granddaughter, Jordan DeRaddo; siblings, Cynthia Depew of Geneva, Rick Campbell of Geneva; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Campbell of Geneva. Several nieces and nephews.

Loretta was predeceased by her husband William H. Fryer; granddaughter, Rebecca DeRaddo; brother, Robert Campbell; brother-in-law, Robert Depew; sister-in-law, Deborah Campbell.
