Obituary for Mary M. "Mamie" Heusler
GENEVA- Mary M. “Mamie” Heusler, age 88, of Geneva passed away on Sunday January 3, 2021 at Geneva General Hospital.
There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis deSales Church on a later date to be announced at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ontario County ARC, Happiness House or the Geneva Community Lunch Program.
Mary was born on July 10, 1932 in Border City the daughter of the late John and Charlotte (Aumick) Catalano. She retired after 25 years working at the Geneva Pennysaver.
Mary was a member of St. Francis deSales Church, volunteered at the Community Lunch Program and was one of many parents who worked to get Happiness House started in Geneva.
She is survived by sons, Ken (Penny) Heusler of Palmyra, Dan (Linda) Heusler of Pennsylvania, Brian Heusler of Seneca Castle and Michael (Tina) Heusler of Waterloo; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother Tom Catalano of Geneva; several nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, John and Charlotte; son, Greg Heusler; brother, Gene Catalano; sister, Cora Jones.
