Obituary for Paul Knipper

CLIFTON SPRINGS- Paul Knipper, age 55, of Clifton Springs passed away on Tuesday December 18, 2018 after a long courageous battle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (Dec.22) at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis deSales Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas P. Mull will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to St, Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Paul was born on November 29, 1963 in Rochester the son of Richard and Anne DePasquale Knipper. For 30 years Paul has been a Financial Services Executive with MetLife/Mass Mutual out of the Rochester area.

Paul was a beloved husband, father and friend to all. He lived everyday to the fullest and lived by his saying “I woke up today, and I plan on waking up tomorrow”. He was very active in the Clifton Springs Community and was an active parent within the Midlakes School Dist. Paul was a member of Phelps Sons of American Legion, Rotary and for many years the YMCA Board of Directors.
He loved food and cooking for everyone, fishing, boating, music, skiing and snow shoeing, traveling and above all spending time with family and friends.

Paul is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children, Emily Knipper of Clifton Springs, Alexandria Knipper of Clifton Springs, Richard “Myles” Knipper of North Carolina, Sam Knipper of North Carolina; mother, Anne Knipper of Seneca Falls; brother, Richard (Linda) Knipper of Albany; sister Bonnie (Clyde) Densley of Seneca Falls; sister&brother-in-laws, Adelaida “Laila” (Steven) Paliotti of Lyons, Trina (Paul) DiDuro of Victor, Domingo (Juana) Leon, Jr. of Flowery Branch, GA, Ricardo (Dianne) Leon of Lexington, OH, Graviel “Pooch” (Maureen) Leon of Lancaster, NY; father-in-law, Domingo Leon, Sr. of Geneva; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Richard Knipper; mother-in-law, Cristina Leon.
