Obituary for Sherlyn "Sherry" Hennessy
GENEVA- Our beloved and very beautiful, Sherlyn (Sherry) Hennessy, passed away on Friday May 6, 2022, at age 91. Sherry was a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to so many.
Family and friends are welcomed to attend her funeral on Tuesday (May10) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church followed by her burial at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Sherry was born in Dayton Ohio, June 26, 1930. She was the daughter of Ida and George Harmeling.
She is survived by her three children, David (Debra) Hennessy, Stephen (Kelly) Hennessy of Bristol, and Carol (Mike) Marino of Frisco, TX. She had three grandchildren, Colleen Hennessy, and Bryan and Matthew Marino; three step grandchildren, Jason Rinebold, Tanya Stevens, and Tina Coston, along with great grandchildren (Finley and Samuel) and many nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Charlie in 2006 and her son, Jim in 2009 along with four brothers and three sisters.
She truly enjoyed her life with her husband, Charlie; they were blessed with many traveling adventures, family visits, and gatherings. Sherry was a member of the Auxiliary American Legion Post 396 and St. Stephen’s Church. The legacy of Sherry’s time with us is beyond what words can express, and we rejoice that she is in Heaven, her forever home. We want to extend our gratitude for the care provided from the Ewing Continuing Care Center.
